An innovation born from 3D printing

Stuck at home during the 2015 Boston snowstorm, Dr. Alfred Griffin III dove into advances in 3D printing. After three years of research, he developed the first 3D-printed bracket made of polycrystalline alumina ceramic, bringing to life the idea of a fully personalized fixed appliance. In 2021, LightForce moved its headquarters from Cambridge to Burlington, Massachusetts, to support its growth.
